Good Night - OLW #54 Good

Here is a page I have been thinking about for a while now and it took One Little Word #54 - Good, to kick me in the butt to do it. I bought this great collage book a couple of months ago called Collage Unleashed by Traci Bautista and I have been wanting to do something with paper towels for a while now. So about a month ago I hand dyed some in blue for fun thinking of this page and and wanting a 'Starry Night by Van Gogh' feel to it. So after dabbling in some paint on the background cardstock I went and collaged with my gel medium the paper towel over the cardstock. Then did my stiches - again going for the Starry Night look.

The quote is from one of my son's favourite bedtime books. The little teddy bear on the moon is a pic of his little Bunny Bear that I mentioned in my journaling.

Sorry the pics are not great. It was late by the time I finished and to meet my deadline for OLW - they are the best I could do. This was different for me but lots of fun. I love that I found the sheet music for Twinkle Twinkle as that is the song we sing every night. This picture is of Parker when he was little. But as my journaling reads we have very few pics of him sleeping.

Thanks for looking.

One of my favorite paintings! Love your inspiration from it! Painted paper towel are perfect for the 'From the Kitchen' theme.

Thanks for playing along with us at The Next Step. :)
