It's here!

It's here!!!! My copy of the winter Canadian Scrapbooker came to my door and there it is on page 29! So excited! My first time being published! Then what was even more cool is that I am sharing the page with the super talented Jessi Lute! Jessi is another Canadian girl who was on the One Little Word design team as well as Kenner Road's, don't you just love her page! So don't forget to grab your copy Dec 1! Also resubmitted the layout at Two Peas and Scrapbooks.com and I was in the top Ten By Views and Top Ten by Votes!
Getting started on some xmas presents - at the moment working on some gift card holders made of good old toilet paper rolls :) Will post some pics when done. I get the day today to scrap as my hubby is watching Parker :)

Don't forget to put in your submission for Crop Suey's design team call for their new challenge blog! Hope all our friends below the border had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Sorry the pics are not the best.... Raining outside like crazy!

Bye for now,

Bows

I just wanted to do a quick post of these super cute little Christmas bows. I first saw these on Scrapbook.com and left a comment asking if Mandee would do a tutorial and within a few days she sent me an email with a link to her fabulous site here with the tutorial. Thanks Mandee! So I have Tuesday set to make some with a friend and thougth I would try to make a few first. But instead of using old magazines I used some scrap paper (Martha Stewart Christmas paper). I did do a few little changes to her tutorial. The piece that gets cut off for the shorter piece I punched two holes with my cropodile on each end (see second last picture) and then made a loop and put the brad inside it to form a loop within the bows! Also used cropodile to pre-punch holes on each end and in middle. I was also thinking of printing some smaller pictures side by side (1" high) on the back of some patterned xmas paper so that you would see the little pictures on the bows. Thanks for looking and have fun making all your xmas presents! I would love to see your bows if you make any! :)

Check this out

I am so excited that Crop Suey is starting a new challenge blog! I just love their blog and the creative ideas that they come up with. They are also looking for a new design team so if you think you are the one of the four lucky ladies they will chose hop on over and send in your application. I did.

Working on a new page that will be up soon! Also don't forget to mark your calendars for Dec 1 as the new Canadian Scrapbooker magazine will be on shelves and somewhere will be one of my layouts! I am soooooo excited!

Along with Crop Suey, I also applied for Two Peas in A Bucket's design team call for hybrid scrappers. I love using hybrid elements and thought I would try my luck and apply. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Bye for now,

Stacy

Two new pages - Crafty Ladies

Make sure to check the previous post as well if you are just stopping in :)

This page is about my mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. They were very involved with crafting with me when I was little and I thank them for taking the time to craft with me. My grandmother used to teach me to sew, and I remember many summers with my great-grandmother crafting. Both grandmothers are passed and I miss them very much! The lemonade papers from BG were perfect for this picture taken in 1976. I also used some hybrid images I got from a Shabby Miss Jenn Designs kit. The title is also from the same kits. I also used some vintage sewing pattern as the ruffle around the circle and some items from my grandmother's craft box I inherited (lace, trimmings, and the smaller buttons). Also used a few elements from a My-Minds-Eye kit I bought for a class I was teaching (teal paper and transparency frame). Thanks for looking,

Two new pages - Puppy Love

Well I was able to get some crafting in this weekend - yah! The first one I did (in this post) is a picture from last fall. I have been wanting to scrap this one for a while as I have so much dog and cat products that I haven't used in so long. They are outdated a bit so I tried to make them a little more current with some new techniques - my spray mist, strips, stiching.... Most of the products are from Deja Views - Dog Days 8x8 paper and punch out tablet. The background paper is from Costco (I think) - and is again old stock. I even got to use some old ribbon I got years ago from a scrapbook shop in Oshawa when I was just starting out and had no child - except for the four legged kind :). Also used some old (I mean old as didn't even peel off sheet -old) of Sticko dog classified stickers on the swirls and then spray misted them green and stiched on it. Thanks for looking,

Stacy
