Falling for You

I have to admit that fall is my favourite time of year and I just love all the fall related products out there. The colours are so beautiful. I had this digital word out that I printed on transparency paper - but it didn't turn out as crisp as I would of liked so I also printed it out a few times on paper and cut it out to add dimension to the transparency. Used some more of my cosmo cricket leaves, the cutest little owls I got at Michaels. I made the 'vine' from stamping hearts on some paper. The cloud was made from fun foam, the corner rubons are from BG. Also used some ribbon from my grandma's lace box I inherited, and some scrap paper. I am on this little kick that I love the look of some digital pages and try to make it non-digital and frames are big right now in digital pages so I thought I would try my hand at it. (Also did it for my Grateful page). Printed my journaling on some transparency and also the circle word art.

At Last

Finally able to upload this page. This page is about how my son finally met my dad - at last. My dad lives in Peru and doesn't come up very often so I was happy to finally have a picture to scrap from Parker's first birthday party. This shot captures the first few minutes when my dad finally saw Parker. Lots of different papers here. Some BG, some from the dollar store and some old pieces I have had around for a long time. Distress the papers and picture a bit, some more stiching, a sticker of a vintage plane from the dollar store, I sprayed the flowers to match the colours on the page, used some of my evalicious flowers I won from OLW, and some dollarstore lace stickers. Also used one of my new stamps on the BG paper.

OLW - Gratitude

Just under the wire! I tried alot of new things on this page. I used my own handwritting for the title, crushed beads as well and glued them on the title, used some of my many brads and some hemp, also printed up some hybrid leaves and cut them out, more stiching, some handmade flowers, distressing and I got to use some of my evalicious goodies that I won with my Sweet as Pie album from OLW!

This is my first page about my son's recent diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. It's been a rough month and we are still learning. The journaling reads:

Even in these dark times of your recent diabetes diagnosis, I am grateful. I am grateful you are young and won't remember a life without diabetes. I am grateful that you have an amazing daycare provider (Jenni) who loves you and has been so involved with meal planning and taking care of you. I am grateful that you will grow up with Teagan, who also has type 1 diabetes and that you will be there for each other as you grow up. I am grateful for the diabetic clinic and all they support they have given. I am grateful for all the people who love you and who will be there for you. But most of all I am grateful for you. You have been such a strong little man and I am so proud of you!

Be back soon!

Hello everyone! Wow... 24 followers and I haven't posted in over a month. I am sorry in the delay in posts lately but we have had a busy 6 weeks. My son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on Sept 10th and we have been trying to learn a whole bunch of information and it's been a little crazy. I do have 3 new pages to show you and will do one of them tomorrow as the deadline for the OLW is tomorrow night! Please come back soon!

Thanks for your patience :)
