The World is Yours

I think this is my favourite to date! I just love the colours and how it all came together! Plus it only took me one night from conception to finalization! Pages usually take me at least 2-3 nights! I had the idea in my head of what I wanted but everything just clicked! The papers are from Costco and are so beautiful!

I have wanted to do this page for a long time now ever since I saw Paula Kelly's layout 'The World is Yours' in the Fall 2008 edition of Canadian Scrapbooker. I have to admit that I did lift the title and the journaling but it just called out to me and I knew that these were the pictures that I would have to do... I just waited for the inspiration to actually make the page.

Once I found these papers, I knew the pallete so I went rummaging in my stash and came out with all the pieces. The little green piece with the animals is a back cover of an old kids book, the embellishments in the top right hand corner are from Dollarama, the frame is too but I covered it with the Costco paper and stamped it with one of my new Prima Bingo stamps. The butterfly is printed from the computer, the squirrel is from a vintage kids book, the fern is from a leaf pressing kit I got at the second Hand store a month ago, the green part of the flower is from a prima flower I got in my goodies bag from Crop Suey. I also stamped onto the page with the insert of the tape roll for my atg gun and some of my new distress crackle paint, and lots of vintage scraps, some images printed onto transparency and some stiching. I just love how the vintage paper peeks out from the distressed edge! I also stamped and stiched onto the foam letters.

Sorry the quality of the pics aren't great. Took them about 40 minutes ago and the ligth is dwindling.... and flash made it worst.

Thanks for stoping by!
