Sorry for the delay in coming back but things have been a little hectic. To sum things up my son and I have moved into an apartment, I am trying to learn how to adjust my schedule as a single parent, trying to recover from a very nasty bug, trying to unpack and fit my extremly downsided scraproom into a closet, trying to make our space fresh and new to make this transition easier for my son, trying to catch up on cyberland as I just got my new laptop this week..... and it's SPRING! Loving this time of year as it is a true sign of renewal!t. I came across this great site and signed up immediately!

Well I must go and shower (yes it is 11:47 am and it was my first day in a month to sleep in - and boy did I do that!!!!) and greet the day and try to get my to do list semi crossed off!

New home inspiration

As I mentioned I am in the process of moving and thought I would put together a little montage of some inspiration for my new place. Because of the fresh start that I am embarking on I thought that FRESH colours would be where I was heading.... so here's a little inspiration....

April Crop Suey Challenge

For my page I decided to use all my bits and pieces of scrap rubons that I have. I have soooo many BG rubons and thought this would be a great challenge for using them! I had these rectangle chip board pieces that came out of some chipboard frames I got at the dollar store and I am just loving grey/yellow/teal so had to work with them. Also had these great rubons from Michaels that had a typewritter on it and the title. Lots of scrap rubon letters, some spray paint, a butterfly and voila!

As mentioned in my last post I am packing and won't be settled until the middle of April and by then I will have purchased my own new laptop!  Scared at what is around the corner but know that in time I will be happy again! Will fill you all in soon - I promise!

Crop Suey's April Challenge Sneak

I am in the middle of packing boxes for a move so I won't be doing much posting until the middle or end of April as I will also be minus a computer. I will have my challenge posted April 5 and a few scheduled ones in between.

Grown in Love - Crop Suey March Challenge

Loved this challenge - but had a hard time finding the time to work on it. This challenge has been that one that I couldn't wait to do but then ran out of time! I had so many big ideas..... oh well... move on right!

This month's challenge at Crop Suey is to use tape on your page. So I knew that I couldn't get my hands on some of those amazingly beautiful tapes out there so I thought I would just make my own. So I found this great little tutorial by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer and had to try it. I did this techniqe way back when (2007) on one of my pages and had to try it with pattern paper (black/white polka-dots) and just loved it!
